Wow, June has been a great month. This month saw a smashing show from The Point at The Velvet Lounge in Setauket, New York. The guys played an entire show, covering about half of their fantastic repertoire of original compositions, plus some cover songs from such unusual and diverse artists as Snoop Dog, Nine Inch Nails, Genesis, Radiohead and The Beatles.
June 2012 saw the YouTube debut of the music video for the Glenn Moses interpretation of the rare John Lennon song, "Real Love". The video was produced and directed by Drew Blanke of TuneROCK Viral Video, and it has been getting quite a bit of notoriety. You can click here to check out the video for "Real Love".
July kicked off with a beautiful, glowing review of the "Real Love" video. The piece was written by Steve Marinucci of examiner.com. Steve's column is acknowledged for being the most accurate source for news about The Beatles, and it is a real honor that he thought to include Glenn Moses in news alongside of the Fab Four, including Paul McCartney's 70th birthday, and his concert for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II. Prominently mentioned in the article are Drew Blanke, who produced and directed the video for "Real Love" for his TuneROCK Viral Video production company, The Point guitarist Kevin Griffin, who played bass on "Real Love", and More Than Nothing recording artist Andrew Bertrand, who played and mixed the drum tracks on "Real Love". Also mentioned is the song's co-producer, Jason Axinn, now a successful Hollywood film producer/director, as well as one of Glenn's favorite songwriters of all time.
